What is a membership?
A membership program allows you to sell a membership to your fans that will give them access to preferential rates for some of your events.
For example, you can sell an annual membership of €20 that gives access to €5 discounts for all your events.
1. Create the membership event
Create a new event from the Smartboard:
- Example name: Membership 2023
- Dates: validity dates of the membership
- Tickets: define the membership rate(s)
2. Create the membership segment
- Create a new Dynamic Segment of type Event participation: select the 2023 Membership event
- Example segment name: Members 2023
3. Create tickets reserved for members
You can now create tickets reserved for your members from each of your events.
- Create a ticket
- Set the price and quantity
- Restrict ticket sales to the Members 2023 segment

4. Import members from another platform (optional)
If you already have a subscription program on another platform and want to import your existing members, here's how:
- Visit the Membership 2023 event
- Visit Tickets > Ticket listing
- Click on Actions > Import tickets
Your members have now been added to your membership event, and they can purchase tickets reserved for members of your events!
FAQ
How to have a shared subscription between multiple Shotgun accounts?
It is possible to share a subscription between several Shotgun organizer accounts.
To do this, you need to:
- Create your subscription event (see 1. above).
- Invite your second organizer account as a co-organizer of the subscription event (documentation on co-organization).
- Create the membership segment from the second organizer account (see 2. above).
- 🙌 You can now restrict ticket sales to the membership segment (see 3. above).
