In order to facilitate the scanning of tickets at the entrance of the events, it is possible to import tickets purchased from another ticketing platform into Shotgun. This will allow you to transform an external ticket into one that can be scanned through the Shotgun Scan app, also counted in the event's maximum gauge and accounting.
The process of importing tickets from other ticketing systems is very simple:
From now on, all you have to do is upload your CSV file and adjust the variables so that the information matches.
To do this, you will first need to go to the event edition page on the Smartboard, then click on Ticket Listing > Tickets on the left drop down menu to access the ticket setup space. Now click on Actions, then Import tickets (.csv) to access the import options.
Then simply upload the .csv file:
Here, you need to associate the file to be imported with a ticket category, or create the ticket category corresponding to the file if necessary.
Next, you need to indicate which tab corresponds to which information in your .csv file.
For example, the "Scan Code" tab corresponds to the "SCAN CODE" column in the file. If you don't have the information in your .csv file, simply leave the tab blank. However, one tab is essential for importing your file: "Scan code". It is also important to have one or more tabs concerning the buyer in the event of an access control dispute, i.e. "Email address" or "First name" and "Last name".
If required, you can indicate which information in the .csv file corresponds to a tab "No match".
