Each contact in your community has attributes you can view from the contacts listing and use to segment your community (learn more about contacts).
Shotgun enables you to segment your community in order to understand who your fans are and engage with them.
You can segment your community in two different ways:
- From Marketing > Contacts click on Filters. After filtering your contacts, you can save this filtered view as a new segment by clicking on Save as segment.
- From Marketing > Segments click on New Segment and then Create Dynamic Segment (learn more about segments)
💡 Don't forget to check our tips on how to leverage the segmentation tools to engage with your community and sell your events faster 💡
Here is the list of all the available filters to segment your community:
Events purchased
Segment contacts who have purchased tickets for specific events. You can decide whether you want the contacts who have purchased tickets for At least one of the selected events or All of the selected events.
Events not purchased
Segment the contacts who have NOT purchased a ticket for specific events.
Total events
Get contacts based on the number of events they have purchased.
Events music genre
Segment contacts based on the music genre of the events they've purchased. It only takes into account the events you have organized yourself.
Ticket purchased
Segment contacts based on the type of ticket they have bought from you. We will find the tickets thanks to a search by keyword; eg "late" will retrieve all the tickets containing the word "late": "late bird", "very late", etc.
If needed, you can use many keywords; eg "late, early, vip" will retrieve all the tickets with one of those three words: "late bird", "very late", "early bird", "early", "vip tickets", etc.
Total spent
Segment contacts based on the total amount of money they've spent on your events. You can set a min total spent or a max total spent.
Last purchase date
Extract contacts based on the date of their last purchase of a ticket to one of your events.
Age
Segment contacts based on their age. You can set a minimum and/or maximum total spent. 💡 Note that we don't know every user's age.
Gender
Segment contacts based on their gender.
💡 Note that we don't know the gender of every user.
Location
Segment contacts based on their location. You can filter your contacts by country, area, and zip code. When you select a country, an area, and a zipcode, we will only return contacts who match all three criteria (and not any of those criteria). You can enter multiple zip codes by separating them with a comma (e.g., "75001,75002,75003").
💡 Note that we don't know the location of every user.
Language
Segment contacts by the preferred language of the user's mobile device or computer.
