Sending a notification campaign is meant to reach all the contacts you targeted. Still, not everyone will see an instant push notification, and that’s totally normal.
Push delivery depends on both the device and the operating system.

Why some pushes don’t show instantly
Most phones (around 60–80%) display the notification immediately.
For the rest, there can be a delay, and this behavior is common across the industry, including apps like Instagram or X.
Here are the most frequent reasons:
- The phone was offline, in airplane mode, or turned off
- A weak or unstable connection prevented real-time delivery
- Phone settings such as battery saver, “Do Not Disturb,” or disabled notifications blocked the push
- Apple and Google delivery rules, which vary by device and can delay certain notifications
💡 Nothing is lost: as soon as the user opens Shotgun, they’ll find your notification waiting for them.
