Pre-requisites
Merch must be linked to an event. To sell merch on Shotgun, you first need to create an event.
Before adding merch, make sure your Shopify store is connected to your Shotgun organizer account. Follow this guide 👉 Connect your Shopify store to Shotgun
💡 Once connected, your Shopify catalog automatically syncs with Shotgun including products, images, prices, and stock, in real time.
Add merch to your event
You can import as many products as you want or keep it simple with your top sellers:
- Log in to your Smartboard > open your event.
- Go to Ticket Listing > Merch.
- Click Import from Shopify > select the products you want to sell.
- Update your Description & Shipping methods (if needed).
- Click Save — done!
Your selected merch items will automatically appear on your event page once it’s live.
💡 Product size, color, etc. are defined in your Shopify Admin. All variants from the same product must have the same price to sync correctly with Shotgun.
💡 Shipping fees are configured directly in your Shopify Admin. All delivery methods are supported.
💡 You can enable Pickup at the event in one click. Those orders appear in Shopify with no shipping address.
⚠️ Cross-border shipping is not supported yet.
What fans see
When purchasing a ticket, fans will see a dedicated “Extra” tab that showcases your merch ensuring maximum visibility.
💡 Buyers will also receive a confirmation email from Shopify once their order is complete.
Manage order refunds
All tickets and merch orders are visible from your event overview and identified by a merchandising tag.
- From your homepage, select your event.
- Go to the Orders tab in your event dashboard.
- To refund:
- Select one or several orders.
- Click Refund.
💡 Every merch transaction automatically appears in your Shopify Admin.
Track your merch sales
Once your event is live, you can monitor every sale with clear visibility.
- From your Event Overview, check the total number of merch items sold.
⚠️ Merch isn’t listed in the Sales breakdown table (yet).
- From your Event Overview > Ticket Listing > Merch, track the number of merch items sold per event.
- From Banking > Balance, view shipping fees in a dedicated section.
💡 You can also track and fulfill all merch orders directly from your Shopify Admin everything syncs automatically.
