What is a Shotgun contact
A contact represents anyone who has interacted with your organizer activity on Shotgun:
- 🎫 They bought a ticket (or were part of a group ticket) for one of your events
- ❤️ They follow your organizer page
- 🔥 They joined a waiting list or pre-registration
- 📮 You send them an invitation
- ⬇️ You manually imported them (via CSV)
💡 Each contact is unique and identified by their email address. If a contact is imported or registered multiple times, Shotgun automatically merges the entries, no duplicates.
Contact attributes & filters
Each contact has a set of attributes that describe them, both static (who they are) and dynamic (what they’ve done).
Static attributes include:
-
Name,Email,Phone number,Location,Creation date
Dynamic attributes include:
Number of events attendedLast event dateTotal amount spent- Follow your
Organizer Page - Opt in your
NewsletterorNotification
You can filter your contact list using any of these attributes to create powerful audience segments. For example:
- “Top Spenders”
- “First-time Attendees”
- “Inactive Fans”
⚠️ Some information might appear missing — that’s normal. The amount of data available depends on the contact’s origin (imported, buyer, follower, etc.) and whether they are registered on Shotgun.
Import your contacts
Already manage an audience elsewhere: CRM, mailing list, or guest list? You can easily import them into Shotgun to keep everything in one place.
