How can I import my contacts into the Smartboard?
You can import your contacts into Shotgun by creating a new Static Segment.
To do so :
- Go to Marketing > Contacts
- Click on Import Contacts
- Import your CSV file
- Check the Matching information of your CSV file
Matching information allows us to match each column in your CSV file with Shotgun's contact fields:
- E-mail address (mandatory)
- Phone
- First name
- Last name
- Newsletter subscription
Alternatively, you can import your contacts from Marketing > Segments by clicking New Segment > Create a manual segment.
Newsletter subscription
If you wish to import your contacts as subscribed to your newsletter, add a column "subscribed" to your CSV file with "yes" in all rows. If your CSV file does not contain a column dedicated to newsletter subscription, contacts will be imported as unsubscribed and will not receive your newsletters.
⚠️ 🇪🇺 In Europe, the GDPR regulation requires explicit consent from contacts before sending them emails.

Import limits
You can import as many contacts as you like, but you can only import up to 2,000 contacts as subscribed to your newsletter. If you wish to subscribe more contacts to your newsletter, please get in touch with us.
