Stripe is the secure payment provider used by Shotgun to process all transactions between organizers and buyers. Before you can sell tickets, your account must be verified by Stripe.
Completing this verification ensures payments are processed safely and that your sales are transferred directly to your bank account.
⚠️ This step is mandatory for all organizers, regardless of the event type (free or paid) or your business type (individual, company, or non-profit).

Log in to your Smartboard
From your homepage, click on the yellow banner > Add information
Information Stripe usually requires
đź§Ť Individual / Sole Proprietor
Personal details: Email, date of birth, address, phone number
Identity document: Passport or Driver’s license or National ID card (front and back)
⚠️ Make sure your document is official, valid, in color, and clearly readable, and that the information matches exactly what you entered in Stripe. Avoid scans, screenshots, expired, or cropped documents.
🏢 Company (LLC, Corporation, etc.)
Business details: Legal business name, registration number EIN, business address, and phone number
Business representative details: Full name, email, position, address, date of birth, SSN (last 4 digits)

Identity document: Passport or Driver’s license or National ID card (front and back)

🤝 Non-Profit Organization
Organization details: Legal name, registration number (EIN or equivalent), address, phone number

Extra business owners, directors, representatives informations
Identity document: Passport or Driver’s license or National ID card (front and back)

💡 If you don’t have a website, use the URL of your Shotgun organizer page.
Go to My Page > Organizer Page URL.
Processing time
⏳ Once submitted, verification may take anywhere from a few minutes to a few hours.

⚠️ If major changes are made later (bank account, entity type, or deletion), Shotgun Support may request written approval from this person.

Stripe may request more documents later. If so, a yellow banner will appear again on your Smartboard Homepage.
Proof of address of the legal representative (Utility bill or Rent receipt)
Business document (for companies): Articles of Incorporation / Business License / IRS letter with EIN
Non-profit document (for nonprofit) ****: IRS 501(c) determination letter or equivalent
⚠️ All documents must be less than 3 months old, clearly legible, and show the full name and address.
⚠️ Your document must be a PDF, come directly from the original source, and clearly display your legal name and address. Screenshots, cropped images, or blurry scans are not accepted.
