They’re made to deliver essential information directly to all ticket holders, regardless of whether they’ve opted into marketing emails.
Use it when you need to share operational information such as:
- Event access address
- Timetable or lineup update
- Venue rules or safety instructions
- Event cancellation notice

Practical vs. Promotional emails
- Practical email: For logistics and operations (e.g. access info, last-minute update, lost & found…). Sent to all ticket holders.
- Promotional email: For marketing and communication (e.g. new event, partnership, announcement…). Sent only to opt-in contacts.
⚠️ : Practical emails must never be used for promotion. Misuse of this tool can lead to the suspension of your account (GDPR compliance).
How to send a practical email ?
You can send a Practical email directly from your Smartboard:
Step 1: From your homepage, click on your event, then click on Promote> Campaign > Send email
Step 2: Choose Practical email & Write your message using the built-in editor
Step 3: Send it right away or schedule it for later (Optional: send a mail test)
